So i have given CBREC a try and have the files saving as mp4 in settings, however when i go to watch the video with vlc and try to fast forward through the video to find the parts i may like, it is choppy and takes a few seconds to start playing again, it reminds me of a ts file and not mp4, so my question is what are you guys saving as file type?

I can do that, but i still can't skip through a video without it becoming a choppy mess while i am looking for the interesting parts.

You can record directly as mp4 by changing the file extension to mp4 and the ffmpeg parameters to end with "-f mp4"
