best way to record a skype show

hi. I would like to know the best way to record a Skype show on Windows 11. What program do you use and what settings do you have on Skype so that if possible you only record the video and not the chat? Thanks

Skype has a record button in the app so it’s pretty easy.

The only way without the other person knowing is with a screen recorder. Just start recording the screen before the show starts. If you don't want the chat showing, you can just record the video part of it. If you want the sound also, it will make the file size very large. So I recommend recording without sound, unless it's a very short show under 10 mins.

If you are not doing cam to cam on Skype, your desktop will show if you don't change certain settings. So watch out for that.
