Recording webrtc live streams

Is there any tool that can do this and is not a screencapturing tool?

I've been using tubedigger for many years to grab streams without any site interface. However, more and more sites are switching their protocol away from hls to webrtc and tubedigger cannot grab these streams.

Does anyone know of a way?

Simply explained: Models/mods and admins also know which tools their shows are recorded with. The more their shows get posted on sites like Camwhores (for example) and others try to monetize them, the more frustrated they get. especially when 5000 users attend a show but only 13-15 users give tips on how to reach the goals for example.
if several top models complain to the admin of the platform and threaten to go to another platform, then of course he rewrites the webscripts.
Discussions about screen recorders like here were certainly not very helpful either. Or do you have another opinion?
In any case, I'm also pissed off to give 5000T and more so that the show goes on and others don't even have the respect to appreciate the sometimes very complex preparations of the models with a few tokens. I hope you're not one of them.
But I also understand that you want to record some shows for yourself. In the last month i've seen at least 5 shows that had extensive preparation (special themes) and were absolutely outstanding. and all in a public show!

Some models have already limited the number of their ticket shows. maybe someday you will only see them in a pass show.

I am not sure if piracy is the reason. WebRTC has lower latency, roughly speaking lower "lag" compared to hls.

I have been working in IT for many years and was/am a network admin, webmaster, co-developer of various tools and programs. Latency is the time between question and answer and has nothing to do with it.

I do not want to record my own stream, I know how do that in OBS Studio. I want to record an incoming stream from a camsite that uses webRTC as the protocol instead of hls, because it develops into that direction. Streamate, Livejasmin, Stripchat and maybe more already use exclusively WebRTC, at least for private shows.

From the looks of it, this seems as if it is made to record public streams. I am mainly interested in recording my own private shows. Can the software do that?

Secretfriends also switched to webRTC now. As a side effect using a vpn that closes the "webRTC leak" (real ip address is shown even when using a vpn) with the site does not work anymore at all (no video playing), neither do older browsers. It's a shitty trend.

There are some browser extensions to record WebRTC streams without loss. Alternatively, you can use old fashioned OBS. I honestly never tried that esoteric ctbrec tool.

Could you name a browser extension? I've tried "RecordRTC" but essentially it's just a screenrecorder and can be used to record your own stream that you want to publish via webrtc.

There are browser extensions that record livestreams but so far I've only seen extensions that can grab a hls stream. In some cases sites might publish via webrtc and also hls as a fallback solution (myfreecams and stripchat for example for public streams), which might create the illusion that a webrtc stream gets recorded when in fact it does not.

How is obs helpful recording an incoming stream? How can I send an incoming webrtc stream from my browser to obs? I know how to use to record my own outgoing stream.

I am the client side on webrtc to be clear.

the software can't do that yet.
In the current version, only public streams are recorded.
