Can someone explain that? I've seen it a few times. Guys will tip at least several tokens and immediately say something rude / disrespectful that would obviously get them kicked out of the room.

Because he'll likely being the one making his case to the model that people like that (i.e. his other account who got banned) is exactly why he needs to be given MOD.
Don't take otherwise inexplicable shenanigans at face-value. There's usually a shady motivation behind it.

The tokens from the alt account were probably to get the model's attention. For the plan to work, its critical that the model take notice of the alt account, among the glut of chat messages. Tokens can be effective for that. Once the alt account has the model's attention, the alt account can then proceed with the vile trolling.
Maybe the main account didn't expect the model to so quickly take matters into her own hands. The plan was for the model to either ask someone to be mod. Yes. I've seen a video of a hacker insulting a model on streamate and then trying to tip her $200 Gold with a dead gift card. It's probably funny to get them pissed off and then see their mood instantly change to happy. lol. Or it could be a test to see how much they will tolerate for the money.
