As a developer, you shouldn't waste your time trying to develop what already exists in hundred different colors, except for your personal use. After all, no need to be a developer to open a browser devtool box, copy a m3u8 playlist URL and past it to ffmpeg for recording. Even a non tech savvy can do that with ease and then stop struggling with OBS or some browser extensions.
Also, you guys shouldn't download and install any software provided on this underground forum, unless the author releases the source code on some public git repo for inspection.

As I said before, I enjoy coding, so I don't give two shits if (according to you) this is already dead in the water because CB are changing the way they stream their content. But for now they haven't and with you only having a post count at the time of 1, I'm not likely to believe anything you say but if you're right then no worries, it's would have been fun and I can guarantee I and maybe others will have recorded content we would have had when it happens.

Instead, Copy room URL or room name, move mouse over Rec button, click and it's recording in less than a second, also not have lots of CMD and browser windows open.
Doing it manually it's a pain in the arse to save and restart recording, to make sure you have the right filename for the output and all the configuration parameters. like .mp4/.ts/.mkv or the resolution you want to record at as not everyone want a 4K stream, along with compressed & uncompressed recording, hell not everyone has the HDD space to record 10 hours at 1080p.
also you can't do that if you're asleep and a room comes online that you like, there are several room I like that come online at 2am or before I normally get up and I know I 've missed some great stuff because of it.
Another feature is the Goal Auto Record Trigger, so you don't even have to be keeping an eye on a room or be recording a whole show for a goal that could be several hours in.
Another thing, rooms go on and offline repeatedly with bad connections, doing this manually you have to re find the url, and then re do the ffmpeg command as the m3u8 is not always the same, taking what a minute+ at best if you know what you're doing
This app it's instant and for users that don't have these skills.
It also has video editing built in too, so no need to piss about with other video editors to do the simple stuff like Clip & Trim, Video joiner.
Also these other editors wouldn't have a clue what these files are and you wouldn't get features like, it can show you where Goals started and ended in the video progress bar, all of this saving time and the hassle of running other apps.
This was originally just a test to see if I could do this as I have never gone down this route before writing a program that records cam site streams.
Before I was mainly been using a Chrome extension to record the stream, Some guys still use a bloody screen recorder.
but that is so resource intensive and even with a decent setup you are limited.
The original idea about this tread was (and re read the Title) to simply find out what other people liked about the software they use or if there were features they would like to see, so I could add it to mine.
I originally had no plan on releasing it but when I noticed I could record what I was before and my rig just sit there happily doing all this and I could still continue to do other shit like editing videos and other general work stuff, I thought maybe if I did get it out there others could use it and then post their recordings on to here like I do, giving us ALL great free content, yes some will probably post their stuff up to CW but cool, whatever.
Another thing is the amount of PMs I've got asking about getting a copy shows that others are interested it in so why not, I'm the kind of guy who like to help out, as it's because of other people taking the time to help me in the past that has helped me to what I was doing before.
Also over the past year or so I've been on this site I've been asked many times about how I am able to record the amount I do and upload to here.

I'm not in anyway pushing people to download it, Yes when I'm happy with what I've developed then I probably will be uploading it for others to use and it's their choice if they want to risk using it, but the fact that I've been here almost 18 months, posted countless recording of my own all for free, I've gotten other uses to also start posting their own content instead of shitty old CW videos along with the fact I have a very large post count and a Post to Rep ratio greater than any other account on here, also the fact I'm very open to hating users who steal others Private CW videos would hint to the fact I'm not the kind of guy who would develop something that would steal their.... God knows what and you would think if I was that kind of guy then the last place I would put such software would be on a site with a small user base of guys who are here to beg for free videos.
But you're also right, there have been several posts from users who have posted links to cam rip software most with little to no prior post counts and anyone with half a brain cell would just ignore them as the chance of it being something dodgy is great.
And Yes there are lots of other app out there that do this, I personally haven't tried them but with stuff like this there there will be apps that do one thing better than the others, my plan is to get all the best stuff of all these and have them on one program.
But anyway rant over, I suggest you take your 'Negativity', Shove it up your gaping asrsehole and jog on to somewhere else.
